inferno Takes Home Silver and Gold at the American Advertising Awards

 

This past weekend, the Memphis chapter of the American Advertising Federation held its 49th annual American Advertising Awards competition for creative excellence.

Creative directors from Chicago, Austin, and Santa Monica judged this year’s 724 entries, and they were so impressed by the quality of work submitted that they created an additional three “Best of” awards – which recognize the top work of the year in various categories.

inferno, a full-service advertising, public relations, design, and digital marketing firm, was awarded with Best of Video and collected one Silver and three Gold ADDYs. The winning work includes:

Best of ­– Best of Video – “FedEx Train” – for FedEx
Gold ADDY – Branded Content More Than: 60 – “FedEx Train” – for FedEx
Gold ADDY – Video Editing – “FedEx Train” – for FedEx
Gold ADDY – Internet Commercial – “FedEx Train” – for FedEx
Silver ADDY – Advertising Industry Self-Promotion – “Mad Bibs: Big Sloppy Meat” – for inferno

Additionally, our incredible creative intern, Annie Lynne Kominek, took home 7 Gold Student ADDY Awards – including five for her Master’s thesis design work, For the Dragonfly.

More than 500 professionals from local advertising, marketing, graphic design, and media companies attended this year’s AAF Memphis American Advertising Awards, which was held at the Columns at One Commerce Square. During the event, the chapter awarded 63 Gold ADDYs, 39 Silver ADDYs, and 17 “Best of” awards.

Winning work from this local competition will proceed to compete in the AAF District 7 level of the American Advertising Awards, a three-tiered national competition.
