MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 24, 2019 – inferno, a full-service advertising, public relations, design and digital marketing firm, today announced that quality control manager Mickey Woodham has been named the 2019 Silver Medal Award recipient by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Memphis chapter.

The Silver Medal Award is the highest form of individual recognition by the American Advertising Federation. It was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.
Woodham has more than 40 years of experience in the advertising industry and has been a mainstay in AAF Memphis since 1980, when she first became a board member. She has served in various positions for the local chapter, including president, program chair, party chair, newsletter co-chair and club achievement coordinator.
In her current role as quality control manager at inferno, Woodham is responsible for proofreading and editing all copy, ensuring adherence of client brand standards in design layouts, coordinating workflow with the traffic manager, and developing and implementing systems to reinforce the highest standards of quality.
Over the years, Woodham has volunteered her time to many causes and organizations that she is passionate about throughout the community, including the National Civil Rights Museum, American Cancer Society, the Commission on Missing and Exploited Children, Memphis City Beautiful, WKNO Public Television and the First Presbyterian Soup Kitchen.
Woodham was honored during a formal ceremony at the AAF Memphis monthly luncheon, which took place Jan. 24 at The Guesthouse at Graceland.
