New hire brings more than 16 years of communications experience to full-service agency

inferno, a full-service advertising, public relations, design and digital marketing firm, has appointed Aisling Mäki as senior public relations account executive. Mäki reports to Dan O’Brien, agency partner and director of client services.

“Aisling is a great addition to the PR department,” said O’Brien. “She has a wealth of valuable experience in her field, and we’re excited to put that to work for our clients.”

As senior public relations account executive, Mäki is responsible for managing client relationships and media relations, as well as developing and executing strategic public relations plans. She will also be providing support to junior staff.

Mäki has 16 years of experience working in communications. As a print, digital and broadcast journalist, she served on staff at WMC Action News 5 and the Daily Memphian. In addition, she has written for dozens of local publications, including The Commercial Appeal, Memphis Flyer, High Ground News and I Love Memphis Blog.

As a stringer for a global news agency, her work was published by media outlets in more than 20 countries. She holds numerous honors from professional organizations that include the Associated Press, Tennessee Press Association and Society of Professional Journalists.

“Now in its 20th year, inferno has a longtime reputation for passionately supporting clients,” said Mäki. “I’m honored and delighted to work in the company of such esteemed professionals and hope to contribute to the growth and continued excellence of the public relations team. I’m also proud to work for an agency that’s so deeply invested in its community and, through its Fuelanthropic initiative, offers employees opportunities for dedicated time to make a meaningful difference in the community through service.”
