BLDG Memphis recently celebrated 20 years of working to advance the development of healthy, vibrant, attractive and economically sustainable neighborhoods throughout the Memphis region.
To recognize the people, partners and programs that have made BLDG Memphis’ work possible, inferno launched a social media campaign to share how the nonprofit invests in communities throughout the Bluff City.
#BLDG20for20 was rolled out over five weeks. inferno shared 20 posts on BLDG Memphis’ LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts that told unique stories, highlighted influential people and organizations, recognized community development and showcased the projects they’ve invested in over the last two decades. Each post shared a unique image, video or article linked back to a detailed story on the BLDG Memphis blog. Viewers were also encouraged to show their support for BLDG Memphis by giving $20 for 20 years.
Throughout the campaign, BLDG Memphis saw a significant increase in social engagement and donations. They gained media attention from local publications, saw an increase in traffic to their website and gained new followers. Additionally, the culmination of #BLDG20for20 provided a platform for the organization to share its 2020 priorities and launch into the next 20 years. The campaign now lives on their website, where followers old and new can relive BLDG Memphis’ history.
