Last month, the inferno public relations team joined other industry professionals from across the Mid-South for the 2017 PRSA VOX Awards at the Memphis Botanic Garden. It’s an event the PR team looks forward to annually, as it is the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the amazing work they’ve done for our clients throughout the year. This year’s event made for another great evening, as our PR team received several well-deserved awards for their projects.
We brought home the coveted VOX Award for our media relations campaign for the Fisher Phillips Memphis office. By focusing on the topics of politics in the workplace, immigration, the workforce under the Trump Administration and other anticipated workplace law changes under Trump, inferno helped the Fisher Phillips Memphis office obtain widespread coverage for the attorneys leading up to, during and following the 2016 Presidential election.
The team also received a Gold Award for the Lehman-Roberts Core Values video. For more than 75 years, Lehman-Roberts Co. has been paving the Mid-South with a strong focus on relationships, humility, stewardship, and continuous improvement. We wanted the video to paint a picture of the company through the lens of those four core values. What we created is a video that helps demonstrate who the people behind Lehman-Roberts are – a company that’s invested in their community, their work, and their employees.
The PR team received another gold award for the Campbell Clinic Outpatient Total Joint Replacement Fall Seminar. Campbell Clinic has provided unsurpassed patient care while being recognized as a leader in teaching and research in orthopaedic surgery, and as of last year, was the first practice in the Mid-South to perform total joint replacement on an outpatient basis. The PR team saw an opportunity to plan a seminar to increase awareness of this unique service offering. Their promotion efforts proved to be successful, as the event had 140 people in attendance.
Last, but certainly not least, there was one award that meant a great deal to our inferno family. Beth Wilson, public relations manager, was honored as the 2017 PR Executive of the Year. We are constantly inspired by Beth’s incredible drive, tremendous work ethic and unwavering professionalism, and we are so thankful to call her ours.
We’re looking forward to another great year of helping our clients achieve success and creating award-winning work on behalf of them.
