Job Description

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for daily contact between the agency and one or more client accounts. The AE interfaces with the various departments of the agency to move things through on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with the creative team, media planner, public relations department, interactive team and production manager regarding project work and strategic client planning.

Account Executives have major input in developing strategic marketing plans for their clients. After plans are developed and presented to clients, the AE is responsible for carrying the plan out on a daily basis.

Account Executives are also responsible for gaining new business from existing clients. Account Executives are not salespeople; they are service personnel. Account Executives will not be asked to cold canvas for new business. This takes valuable time from servicing their present accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact to multiple clients, understand the client needs, and
    translate those needs to the appropriate department within the agency.
  • Meet regularly with production manager, creative director, traffic manager, media
    planner, public relations, and interactive staff to coordinate agency efforts on
    behalf of assigned clients/accounts.
  • Effectively present, sell, and defend all agency work/proposals to clients; support
    other client service team members in these functions.
  • Keep apprised of clients’ brands, products, services, and
    marketing developments.
  • Assist in preparing client invoices, proposals, marketing, media, and public
    relations plans.
  • Regularly check for and respond promptly to all client communications, including
    calls and emails.
  • Coordinate with interactive and creative teams to ensure traditional/interactive
    synthesis of marketing efforts.
  • Check and approve creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production
    art, and coordinate client approval of same.
  • Ensure prompt collection of accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate project timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel.
  • Actively seek additional projects/new business from client contacts.
  • Other duties maybe assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree
  • 3-5 years marketing or relevant experience
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, execution,
    and organizational skills
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, creative, and results-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of billing and budgets
  • Experience with Workamajig
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Apple software

Job Description

The PR coordinator supports the entire public relations team, assisting with multiple client projects and events, and performing administrative functions as needed. The PR coordinator also works with the team to facilitate integrated communications campaigns throughout the agency. The PR coordinator reports to the director of public relations and will work closely with the senior PR account executive.

The candidate will demonstrate superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage several tasks on an ongoing basis. He or she will have a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal and communications skills. The PR coordinator will be a self-starter who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily client coverage monitoring and reporting (e.g., media outlets, social media, etc.).
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings and identify client promotion opportunities.
  • Develop and manage media contact databases for clients.
  • Conduct research for and assist with developing PR plans, as well as drafting news releases, press kits, event announcements, media pitches, owned media (e.g., blog posts and contributed content) and social media content, consistently maintaining clients’ brand standards.
  • Assist with media outreach, including pitching and coordinating interviews, as needed.
  • Provide event support and planning for client events (art openings, trunk shows, open houses, educational seminars, etc.) as directed by the director of public relations and PR account executives. At times, these events take place outside of normal business hours.
  • Assist team in managing the agency’s social media channels, website updates and award submissions.
  • Attend meetings and events with/for clients and draft meeting agendas/notes, when appropriate.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly PR reports.
  • Stay well informed of each client’s industry trends, competition and relevant coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned by the director of public relations and PR account executives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, multimedia or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in public relations or social media marketing.
  • Adept in AP Style writing for press releases.
  • Strong creative writing and proofreading skills to align with increasing content marketing tactics.
  • Experience with a PR database, such as Cision or Meltwater.
  • Clear understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the ever-evolving social media landscape, including reporting tools.
  • Experience with video production and editing software (e.g., iMovie or After Effects),

Requirements

  • Excellent research and time management skills.
  • Candidate will be a detail-oriented problem-solver who values strategic communication, thrives on being challenged and welcomes the ability to manage both short- and long-term projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Apple software. 
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., WordPress or Squarespace).
  • Social media and writing samples required.
  • Some evenings and weekend work required.
