Pro Bono Highlight: FedExFamilyHouse Raises $1 Million with Sold Out Gala

Here at inferno, we believe in the the motto you make a living by what you do, but you make a life by what you give. It’s the driving force behind our Fuelanthropic initiative to give back to the Memphis community.

As part of this initiative, inferno served as the pro bono agency for the FedExFamilyHouse Gala and the Late-Night Lounge after party for the second year in a row.

Creative materials to promote the event incorporated the dramatic blue and gold foil theme designed by the creative team. The idea was to convey warmth, comfort, and elegance through use of metallic ink and high-quality, textured paper. The blue and gold theme was applied to all tactics — physical and digital — which included:

  • save the date postcard
  • direct mail “infotation” — meant to inform guests about the evening since it had already sold out
  • save the date and reminder emails
  • logo for the Late-Night Lounge
  • gala program
  • signage for the event
  • presentation template used at the event

In addition to our promotional efforts, we were excited to work on a video for the event with Running Pony Productions. The video featured one family’s story about their experience at FedExFamilyHouse and was shown during the gala.

Attendees of the event enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, drinks, dancing, and appearances by Magic Johnson and Mike Conley of the Memphis Grizzlies. Then, following the gala the party continued with the Late-Night Lounge in The Peabody’s Continental Ballroom, where guests could dance the night away for a great cause.

Even though the party was fun and working on the event promotion was rewarding, the best part of partnering with FedExFamilyHouse for this event is seeing how much they raise to help families in need.

This year, the event raised $1 million for FedExFamilyHouse — the “home away from home” for families with children receiving treatment at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
