Paragon National Bank
inferno’s support of Paragon, a Memphis retail and commercial bank, began before its launch in 2005. Though they had a logo and a commitment to 100% local service, they were an unknown in the market.
inferno successfully branded and promoted Paragon by taking advantage of the recent mergers and acquisitions by national banks that had customers agitated and receptive to the promises of a small, truly local institution. We employed an extremely aggressive approach (balanced with humor) to draw attention to the shortcomings of the larger banks being managed from out of town.
inferno’s launch campaign won first place in the American Banker’s Association Financial Marketing Awards in the “Customer Acquisition Marketing” category. Paragon was also one of only four U.S. community banks whose work was featured in the Independent Banker marketing showcase.
Since 2005, Paragon has exceeded forecasts and opened numerous new branches, while inferno has provided successive print and radio campaigns, transit signage, print collateral, public relations support, and a number of customer retention tactics.
